A Foreword From The Spritual Director
In 2004 a group of converts from the Novena Church came together to form a group out of a need to know more about and deepen their Catholic Faith. They wanted to be moulded more into the image of Jesus by the word of God. Hence they called themselves “The Potter’s Clay” They also felt the need to support one another in their ongoing Faith journey through prayer, faith sharing and fellowship.
The group met every week on Thursday at the Ligouri Room, Novena Church After 2 years since its inception, the group held a review and evaluation of their life and activities. To fulfill their aim of growing into a deeper knowledge of the Faith they invited speakers to provide the input or showed some CDs or conducted some Faith Formation Programs such as Alpha. A simple meal was provided.
At the review the group decided on the following: 1. The work of running the group needed to be shared amongst different office bearers.

3. The group decided to change its name from The Potter’s Clay to The Fishers Of Men. This new name connotes a more active missionary approach, as compared with The Potter’s Clay which suggests a more passive approach. In 2008, the name was expanded into Fishers of Men Novena.
